If you have ever traveled through Pennsylvania and did not encounter a portion of Interstate under construction chances are you were flying. Maybe in a plane. Maybe on the back of giant of flamingo. Who knows. Either way you missed all the fun. Motoring on down to Virginia a few months ago I encountered plenty of single lane roads with PennDOT crews performing crack sealing. As my wife was doing the driving I was able to shoot out the window. Am I the only one who looks forward to work zones?
Back to my home turf this well appointed Mack Granite for the Town of Verona was taking up a parking spot at Beam Mack.
Man oh man do I love the vintage yet still working truck fleet that is the Syracuse DPW. Every year the special use trucks emerge from the barn and head to local shops for the specialty work to get them ready for plowing. To the best of my knowledge these trucks don’t see any action outside of winter. Look at this beauty! Sister truck 212 was a real star last winter. Click here to see.
No, you’re not seeing double. These two Sterlings for the Town of Clay just happened to show up at the dealer on the same day.
In the mixed gallery below we have 4×4 rig for the Town of Camillus, a well maintained rig for the City of Sherrill, NY, a pair of WorkStars for the Oneida County Highway Department, Thruway WorkStar, Stockbridge Western Star, more Thruway, more Sherrill.
