September Plow Update Part II

The Village of Cazenovia is serious about plowing snow. The proof is in the truck that happens to be a mean looking AWD Mack RD. Trucks like this are the reason I stop by Tracey Road Equipment nearly every time I drive by.

I spotted this Town of Camillus Oshkosh at the spring shop this past weekend. At one point, like so many other New York municipalities, Camillus ran Walter Plow trucks. Click here to reminisce. I hope someone restores the Pac-Man decal on the spreader body soon.

The town of Volney, NY recently sold this 2000 International 2674 for a cool 22,200 bucks on Auctions International. I happened to be in the area a few weeks back and snapped a picture. Probably the same day the AI crew was scheduled to show up! A Cummins 350, Allison Auto and Viking plow equipment complete the package.

It wouldn’t be a plow update without a Western Star in the batch. The Town of Westmoreland had there very nice and very green Western Star 4900 at the shop just the other week.

In the gallery below you will find a former NYSDOT International 7600 now working for the NYS Fair. A Town of Geddess International 2674 now working for Syracuse Signal. A very nice S-Series rotting away as yard truck in Liverpool, NY. A Town of Truxton Mack Granite. A NYSDOT International 4200. Another brand newe International TerraStar (popping up like weeds now), A town of Clay, NY Volvo(not as cool as the Autocar). An AWD International PayStar for the City of Syracuse and finally what appears to be a brand new P Series Oshkosh. I like the fin on the back of the Hi-Way. High speed plowing anyone?
