Dave sent these shots in awhile ago from the 2016 Rough and Tumble Thresherman’s Reunion held at the museum by the same name in Lancaster County, PA. All manor of antique steam, gas, and diesel powered vehicles from many years past are on static or moving displays.
Browsing through the photos the Threshers Reunion reminds me very much of the Pageant of Steam 2016 held annually in Canandaigua, NY. While some of the equipment is vintage and period correct other vehicles are pure one off creations, like the Dady Rat. Powered by a V12 twin turbo Dietz 513 diesel engine with the custom remains of a five ton military truck ridding on a custom built frame, the Dady Rat draws eyes wherever it roams. And rightfully so! Make sure to check out the link above for some cool video of the beast in action.
In the gallery below you’ll find more great items like diesel powered lawn tractors, a 1930 White, a 1927 Lynn (another unique NY marque of the past) along with more trucks and heavy equipment. A major thank you to Dave for sharing.
