I don’t know about you but I can’t think of day better spent than looking at new trucks and heavy equipment. Maybe if there was free food involved it would be perfect. Oh wait! There was. Last Thursday Tracey Road Equipment held an open house to celebrate 40 years of providing Central New York with the trucks and construction equipment used to build the region. If you’ve been visiting this site for even a short period of time you know the lots of Tracey Road Equipment are no stranger to me. If you want to see how the newest snow plows are being spec’d out then Tracey’s is the place to go. The biggest player in CNY when it comes to Freightliner and Western Star trucks, two of the more popular selling heavy truck brands in North America, there is always something interesting to see.
Loaded with 40,000 lbs of material this Western Star 4700 from Eaton was busy making loops around town to showcase the latest in heavy duty automatic transmissions. Upon return nearly every driver said they were impressed but how well the truck handled and shifted.
And of course there were more new plows than you could shake a stick at. Like last year, some trucks came back for the show while others were fresh off the factory floor.
We’ll check out some of the heavy equipment offerings and a few classic rides in another day or two.
Eric,
Thanks for stopping over!

Thank you and the fine company you work for. I see that the SK Brockway is still on the lot. I guess I should make an offer?
