Adding to the ever expanding National Grid archives here at Daily Diesel Dose check out this collection of Freightliners. The first truck has a Posi-Plus cable handler mounted out back. Interesting but ultimately worthless fact, the reel drive torque for this unit is 285,000 inch pounds. According to Google this works out to be 23,750 foot pounds of torque, each your heart out muscle car guys.
This truck below is a Freightliner M2 112 with Detroit DD13. Another interesting fact, Detroit Diesel is slowly dropping the diesel from it’s name.
