Like many older cities across the northeast the downtown portion of Syracuse, NY has seen better days. Decades of flight to the suburbs by both retail and business owners have left their scars. But not all hope is lost. The past ten years or so have seen a concentrated effort from both the public and private side of the economy to boost and grown the downtown core. Now instead of gradual decay it seems like there is always some project underway. One thing is sure, from basic infrastructure maintenance to new construction, downtown is always a good local for truck spotting.
