Old cranes, they are fun to look at. Even more fun when they are still on the job. Perhaps more than any other piece of equipment on the job site cranes seem to be the oldest. It probably has something to do with the insanely high cost of new units. But what do I know.
I have yet to spot any markings on this crane that would hint at the builder so I will need some help from the experts out there.
This old worker belongs to Oneida View Pile Driving and that is exactly what it was doing on a warm fall day many weeks ago.

I believe this would be a Lorain MotoCrane, something like a MC550 circa 1965 or so… that is my best guest but I’m curious to see what the experts on this site have to say.
