Just like clockwork it’s time for the monthly (during the summer only) update of snow plows encountered by me and this time around a few other people. Continuing the trend of the past two years the new Western Star plows of all models and trim levels continue to fill the dealer lots. I have to admit, they are a good looking truck and from all reports they handle and ride rather well.
Adding to the re-purposed category is this International of New England Motor Freight setup to plow their Syracuse, NY terminal. The tinfoil around the hood prevents interference from UFO’s that regularly cross the area.

In the gallery below you will find a new truck for the Village of Manlius, NY, a couple of Western Star 4700s, two great looking 4900’s, a Mack Granite from the Town of Sullivan, Town of Otisco AWD Western Star 4800, a former Town of Manlius International Paystar now with the Village of Minoa, a new International TerraStar, an International from the NYS Canal Corporation and two rigs from the Town of Dewitt Highway Department. The final four photos were taken with my Windows Phone when I forgot to put the memory card back into my digital camera. For the most part the phone did okay but really is not better than a backup device. A Town of Hastings Sterling, a new International DuraStar, a Town of Clay Freightliner FLD and a Town of Manlius Western 4700 make up this lot.
And last but not least we have this great looking 1977 Brockway 761 that now works for a plumbing company. Brian shares this photo and tells us the truck has 250 Cummins and 4×4 air shift transmission. He says it works every week and rarely lets the current owner down. Great catch!
