Missed It By That Much
Well, I said I was going to be organized with my photos from the ATHS National Show but I fear that somewhere along the long I became sloppy. Between videos and other random events I stopped keeping track of the photos shared and the photos not shared. Hopefully you can suffer through any duplicates.
So yeah, it’s time to start wrapping this coverage up. I think one more mega gallery of the show field and maybe another video or two and that will be it. The fat lady will sing!
At The Dealer – Western Star Report
It seems like we haven’t done a dealer report in quite sometime. Let’s get down to it as I’ve seen a few nice looking Star Cars over the past month or so.
It would seem that Tracey Road ticked off every option in the chrome checklist with this 4900. If you’re delivering new trucks and equipment you might as well have a brand new truck.
Speaking of new trucks, here is a future Suit Kote truck. I know, they usually have a solid green color for all of their rigs but I can only tell you what the factory window tag read. Best scenario, this is a statement truck for a veteran driver. Worst scenario, they are going to paint over that awesome factory color scheme. I guess as long as it’s not white…..
And on the topic of white trucks here is a 4700 with a Aquatech setup out back. All the fancy dodads and storage boxes help dress it up a bit. I give it a passing grade.
A Simple Flower
Tulips, a delicte flower that takes an army of heavy equipment to cultivate. Welcome to our modern times! Thanks for the tip Ed!

Autocar Mondays – Two Time Reigning Champion
A few years back Joe sent in some shots of the DC87 from the Town of Smithfield. The truck was in truely great shape back then and I’m happy to report that not much, if anything, has changed since Joe’s last visit.
This time it was yours truely that stopped by for a personal inspection. You might recall that the truck started life as a single axle and was part of snow removal operations for Hancock Field. A Cummins PT-270 is under the hood with a good old fashioned 8LL manual transmission in the cab. Honestly, there is no reason this truck cant keep chugging along with the new rigs for the next 25 years.

Detroit Diesel Mega Collection – Volume II
It has almost been three years to the date that the ground breaking video, Detroit Diesel Mega Collection, hit Youtube. After amassing over 100,000 views from around the globe I have heard the cries of the people asking for more. I am proud to present Detroit Diesel Mega Collection Volume II.
Hear em before you see em! Detroit Diesel.
International Love
You know I love a good International…or two. Thanks to Ed we get to enjoy a double helping of Navistar gold.
Up first, this Paystar 5000 with 50 ton wrecker of Guilderland Towing and Recovery.
Right up there with some of the longest running truck models of all times is the International S-Series and its decendants. Here we see a 2674 of the Clifton Park Water Authority. Keep these old trucks running folks!

2018 ATCA Uncle Sam
What can a photo say that a million photos moving at a pace so rapid that they eye perceives them as a singular moving object can not say?
Ancient Oshkosh – Oshkosh W-2211
They say age is just a number. You could consider it a philosophy that this old Oshkosh takes to heart considering it still sees active duty on a winding driveway in the hills of Fenner, NY. If you are familiar with the area you the know the hills are steep and numerous. You better believe this old W-2211 can still run with the big dogs when needed. Just a few years ago after a fierce storm this ‘Kosh found it’s way on to the local roads and ended up plowing out two modern trucks that had succumbed to the snow. Long live the old iron!
What a view!
A big thanks to Paul for letting me and a bunch of other truck fools wander around his collection of trucks. Make sure you take a look at that 1966 FWD truck.
2018 ATCA Uncle Sam PSA
If you have not made plans to attend the 2018 ATCA Uncle Sam truck show please do so. Last year was my first time at the show and I was highly impressed. The turn out was phenomenal with a great variety of trucks. Click here if you don’t believe me.
