Ford F-150 with Powerstroke

Ram was first to the market with a diesel power plant for a half ton truck and at the time more than a few wondered if the average consumer wanted to put up with the hassles of diesel, namely DEF fluid and noise. Of course their are advantages to a diesel that a gas engine simply can’t match when it comes to torque, fuel economy, and longevity. In the ever escalating war of pulling power it was only a matter of time before one of the other players jumped into the pool feet first. Say hello to the 2018 F-15o with the 3.0 L Power Stroke.

The 2018 F-150 Powerstroke will come with a best in class rating for horsepower at 250 along with a 440 foot pound of torque. All of this earth shattering power will be challenged through Fords 10 speed automatic transmission. Delieveries of the diesel powered F-150 will begin this spring. Noise out of a Ram diesel? That went away with the Bosch high pressure fuel injection circa 2004.
