While travelling the Thruway last week I came across this scene around mid morning. Unfortunately all the action was taking place at a rest stop on the opposite side of the direction I was heading. Cursing my bad luck I moved onto to my destination. A little more than three hours later I was heading back home and finally on the right side of the Thruway for action. I figured it all had to be wrapped up by now but I stopped anyway and was surprised to see that all the trucks and equipment I wanted to photograph were still in place. I guess you can’t rush quality.
It looks like a backup generator was being installed for some sort of machine room or pump house that services the rest stop. Can’t have the toilets backing up.
