The Western Star 49X is one the newest trucks out there and Tracey Road Equipment isn’t wasting anytime getting them into the hands of their new owners. Here we see a dump configuration for Ruston Paving in their trademark baby blue color. The dump body was manufactured by J&J. I bring this up because as you may have noticed the rather large gap between the cab and dump. No one is quite sure the exact reason (well, someone is) as to the reason for this space. On the J&J Facebook page this truck was featured and the question was asked. The official response was “we don’t really know but it probably has something to do with weight laws”. Good enough for me.

Ruston dump must be for one of their locations down south. Stone slinger for Kinsella?
That’s the idea. It seems like they spec’d a truck that can work in all of the regions. Kinsella is a strong bet for the slinger.
