Life is easier when you have a helping hand. In the case of this ACL from the Town of Fenner a front axle sporting Marmon Herrington gears is God send when plowing the hill country. There are still plenty of these rigs to be found in active service with highway departments across the country. As I was taking this photo an equally well preserved ACL from the Madison County Highway Department cruised on by. Sorry, I don’t have a picture to back up this story.
