Look what I found sitting at the local Western Star dealer the other day. I was pretty sure it was going to be months before I saw one of these based on the slow appearance of the last new truck on the market, the Cat CT660. Thinking about the situation I now realize the two are completely different rollouts. The Cat is a niche truck with low build numbers while the Western Star 5700XE is expected be a high production, high volume seller highway hauler.
The styling of this truck is already growing on me. It looks pretty good when you think of the other aerodynamic trucks in its class.
Next time I will give Tracey Road Equipment more credit when it comes to having the latest truck models on hand. After all, they are kind of a big deal.
