Oshkosh Drill Rig Truck

Some trucks have it. Others don’t. This truck my friends, an Oshkosh P-Series, has it in spades.

I spotted this beast the other day on the Connective Corridor project. A crew of workers from M.L. Caccamise were getting ready to drill a hole to support a new traffic control light. I waited to the last possible minute before heading to work for the day to get a shot of it in action but it wasn’t meant to be. I stopped back during lunch to find the hole drilled and the concrete poured. It appears they brought this truck out for just one post. Good enough for me! I had hoped the drill rig motors were Detroit powered but to my horror they sounded like gas jobs. Short video of it idling below.
