Trucks and Stuff of the National Archives

Did you know The National Archives has Flickr account? Now you do.

You can find the patent for Michael Jackson’s moon walk shoes or JFK’s fish chowder recipe. Feel free to browse thousands upon thousands of historical images. Being the single minded individual that I am I naturally searched for photos containing trucks or other similarly cool mechanical stuff. I found all of these images in one collection, The Documerica Project, as described below.

For the Documerica Project (1971-1977), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) hired freelance photographers to capture images relating to environmental problems, EPA activities, and everyday life in the 1970s.

I highly recommend checking out the other collections.  Enjoy!
