Today we have a Kenworth T800 (maybe) behind the fences at Kenworth of Buffalo. What caught my eye about this rig (besides being a plow truck) was the Onondaga County DOT seal. I can’t say that I have ever seen a Kenworth plow truck, much less a red one, in the employ of the County. Is this a test unit? Or is the County following a radical diversification plan? Right now you can find them running Internationals, Volvos, and Western Stars. They may even have a Freightliner or two kicking around. Inquiring minds want to know.
By the way, this truck was located at K of B’s new and much larger facility in Syracuse, NY.

I believe that kenworth was a demo for Henderson plow equipment. I work for a township in chautauqua County. Every year all the Towns, villages and county highway get together for the highway picnic. Vendors bring new trucks and equipment. That truck is T800 with a C500 hood reason being because of the extended front frame. The T800 hood and grille is one piece where the C500 hood an grille are separate witch is needed for plow frames … Chautauqua County has received 6 kenwoths in the past 2yrs .. I might have some pictures .
Good info Tim. Thanks for sharing.
